Stan Musial dies

Stan Musial died on January 19, 2013 at the age of  92. The Hall of Famer/Legend/Icon was an OF/1B with 22 MLB seasons of experience all with the St Louis Cardinals. He played from 1941 to 1963 while missing the 1945 season serving with the United States Navy in World War II. For his MLB career he hit .331/.417/.559 with 475 HR, 1951 RBI, 1949 R, 78 SB in 3026 games. He is fourth on the MLB all-time hits list with 3630. He was an All-Star 24 times (there were two All-Star games each year from 1959 to 1962). Musial won the NL MVP 3 times (1943, 1946, 1948) and was on three World Champion teams with the Cardinals (1942, 1944, 1946). He was the NL batting champion 7 times (1943-.357, 1946-.365, 1948-.376, 1950-.346, 1951-.355, 1952-.336, 1957-.351). He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969.
