Alfredo Marte traded to Phillies

Alfredo Marte was traded by the Baltimore Orioles to the Philadelphia Phillies on April 18, 2016 for a PTBNL. The outfielder signed with the Orioles in December 2015 and was hitless in two games at Triple A Norfolk. He split 2015 between Triple A Salt Lake and the Angels hitting .318/.381/.469 with 7 HR, 55 RBI, 54 R, 7 SB in 97 games at Salt Lake and .333/.500/.333 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 5 games with the Indians. He originally signed with the Diamondbacks in 2005 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Marte turned 27 on March 31.
