Anthony Recker traded to Braves
Anthony Recker was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Atlanta Braves on May 9, 2016 for cash. The catcher hit 15 for 61, .246/.395/.426 with 2 HR, 10 RBI, 10 R, 1 SB in 19 games at Triple A Columbus to start 2016. Over five MLB seasons with the Mets, Cubs and Athletics he hit .185/.260/.334 with 16 HR, 55 RBI, 48 R, 2 SB in 167 games. His MLB career caught stealing rate is 27%. He was originally drafted by the Athletics in the 18th round in 2005. Recker will be 33 on August 29.
