Freddie Freeman of the Atlanta Braves was selected the National League Player of the Week for the span of June 13, 2016 through June 19, 2016. For the week he hit 17 for 31, .548/.588/1.065 with 5 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR, 8 RBI, 6 R, 1 SB and 1 BB. This season the first baseman has hit .279/.365/.492 with 12 HR, 26 RBI, 33 R, 3 SB in 68 games. Over seven MLB seasons with the Braves he has hit .284/.366/.468 with 116 HR, 450 RBI, 438 R, 16 SB in 819 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the second round in 2007. Freeman will be 27 on September 12.
