Anthony Ranaudo traded to White Sox

Anthony Ranaudo was traded by the Texas Rangers to the Chicago White Sox on May 12, 2016. The Rangers in exchange received Matt Ball.  

RHP Ranaudo was 1-1, 2.03 ERA, 18 K, 0.75 WHIP, .130 BAA in 13.1 IP over 3 games at Triple A Round Rock and 1-0, 17.18 ERA, 2 K, 2.73 WHIP, .167 BAA in 3.2 IP over 2 games with the Rangers to start 2016. Over three MLB seasons with the Rangers and Red Sox he was 5-4, 6.33 ERA, 28 K, 1.56 WHIP, .265 BAA in 58.1 IP over 13 games with 9 GS. He was originally drafted by the Red Sox with the 39th pick of the first round in 2010. Ranaudo will be 27 on September 9th.

RHP Ball was 0-1, 4.50 ERA, 24 K, 1.38 WHIP, .250 BAA, 1 SV in 16.0 IP over 10 games at Class A Kannapolis to start 2016. He was originally drafted by the White Sox in the 11th round in 2013. Ball turned 21 on January 23.
