Bobby Wilson traded to Rangers

Bobby Wilson was traded by the Detroit Tigers to the Texas Rangers on May 3, 2016. The Tigers in exchange received Chad Bell.

The catcher Wilson had been traded to the Tigers in March. He had split 2016 between Triple A Toledo and the Tigers. He hit 1 for 3, .333/.500/.667 with 0 HR, 2 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 1 game at Toledo and 2 for 13, .154/.200/.154 with 0 HR, 2 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 5 games with the Tigers.

LHP Bell was 1-0, 1.50 ERA, 19 K, 0.94 WHIP, .194 BAA in 18.0 IP over 5 games with 2 GS at Triple A Round Rock to start 2016. He was originally drafted by the Rangers in the 14th round in 2009. Bell turned 27 on February 28.
