Bryan Holaday was traded by the Detroit Tigers to the Texas Rangers on March 29, 2016. The Tigers in exchange received Bobby Wilson and Myles Jaye.

Wilson is a catcher that split 2015 with Triple A Durham, the Rays and the Rangers. He hit .184/.273/.204 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 17 games at Durham, .145/.203/.145 with 0 HR, 4 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 25 games with the Rays and .221/.291/.325 with 1 HR, 10 RBI, 5 R, 0 SB in 31 games with the Rangers. Over eight MLB seasons with the Rangers, Tigers, Rays, Diamondbacks and Angels he has hit .214/.275/.313 with 11 HR, 65 RBI, 51 R, 0 SB in 271 games. He was originally drafted by the Angels in the 48th round in 2002. Wilson turned 33 on April 8th.
Jaye joined the Rangers in a December 2015 trade.
