Chris Jones traded to Angels

Chris Jones was traded by the Baltimore Orioles to the Los Angeles Angels on March 29, 2016. The Orioles in exchange received Erick Salcedo and Natanael Delgado.

LHP Jones was 8-8, 2.94 ERA, 105 K, 1.25 WHIP, .273 BAA in 150.0 IP over 30 games with 22 GS in 2015. He was originally drafted by the Indians in the 15th round in 2007. Jones will be 28 on September 19.

Salcedo is a shortstop who split 2015 between Class A Burlington, Class A Advanced Inland Empire, Double A Arkansas and Triple A Salt Lake. He hit .230/.279/.246 with 0 HR, 13 RBI, 23 R, 5 SB in 62 games at Burlington, .500/.500/.667 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 2 R, 2 SB in 2 games at Island Empire, .213/.259/.227 with 0 HR, 3 RBI, 10 R, 5 SB in 25 games at Arkansas and .250/.333/.313 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 6 games at Salk Lake. He originally signed with the Angels in 2010 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Salcedo will be 23 on June 28.

Delgado is an outfielder who hit .241/.276/.355 with 6 HR, 46 RBI, 32 R, 2 SB in 108 games at Burlington. He originally signed with the Angels in 2012 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Delgado will be 21 on October 23.
