Jhan Marinez traded to Brewers

Jhan Marinez was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Milwaukee Brewers on May 13, 2016 for cash. The RHP had split 2016 between Triple A Durham and the Rays. He was 2-1, 2.25 ERA, 9 K, 1.63 WHIP, .313 BAA, 1 SV in 8.0 IP over 6 games at Durham and 0-0, 2.45 ERA, 3 K, 0.55 WHIP, .154 BAA in 3.2 IP over 3 games with the Rays. Over three MLB seasons with the Brewers, Rays, White Sox and Marlins he was 1-1, 2.95 ERA, 20 K, 1.20 WHIP, .212 BAA in 18.1 IP over 15 games. He originally signed with the Marlins in 2006 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Marinez will be 28 on August 12.
