Jason Kipnis Contract Extension with Indians
Jason Kipnis and the Cleveland Indians agreed to terms on a six year extension for $52.5 million. The second baseman is in his fourth MLB season with the Indians. In 2013 he hit .284/.366/.452 with 17 HR, 84 RBI, 86 R, 30 SB in 149 games. For his MLB career he has hit .270/.348/.423 with 38 HR, 179 RBI, 199 R, 68 SB in 340 games. During spring training he hit .357/.446/.554 with 2 HR, 13 RBI, 14 R, 1 SB in 20 games. He was originally drafted by the Indians in the second round in 2009. Kipnis turned 27 on April 3rd.
