Donald Lutz hits for cycle vs Suns 042114
Donald Lutz of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos hit for the cycle in a 17-1 victory over the Jacksonville Suns on April 21, 2014. Pensacola is the Double A team of the Cincinnati Reds. Lutz was 5 for 6 with 2 RBI and 4 runs while batting third and playing left field. His only out of the game game in the first when he lined out to short. In the second inning he doubled to right field. He added another double to right in the fourth. He singled to lead off the sixth. Lutz hit a solo home run to lead off the seventh. The cycle was complete when he hit his triple to center in the eighth. This season he is hitting .362/.422/.724 with 4 HR, 9 RBI, 11 R, 0 SB in 15 games. He originally signed with the Reds as an amateur free agent in 2007. Lutz turned 25 on February 6th.
