Colt Hynes traded to Dodgers

Colt Hynes was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Los Angles Dodgers on April 7, 2014. In exchange the Indians received Duke von Schamann.

LHP Hynes split 2013 between Double A San Antonio, Triple A Tucson and the Padres. He was 1-0, 0.73 ERA, 16 K, 0.81 WHIP in 12.1 IP over 10 games at San Antonio, was 1-0, 1.80 ERA, 42 K, 1.00 WHIP, 4 SV in 35.0 IP over 31 games at Tucson and was 0-0, 9.00 ERA, 13 K, 2.00 WHIP in 17.0 IP over 22 games with the Padres. After the season he was traded to the Indians in October 2013. He was originally drafted by the Padres in the 31st round in 2007. Hynes will be 29 on June 28.

RHP von Schamann split 2013 between Class A Advanced Rancho Cucamonga and Double A Chattanooga. He was 8-2, 4.34 ERA, 50 K, 1.28 WHIP in 64.1 IP over 11 games at Rancho Cucamonga and was 3-5, 5.00 ERA, 50 K, 1.53 WHIP in 66.2 IP over 16 games at Chattanooga. Prior to the trade he was 1-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 K, 0.29 WHIP in 7.0 IP in 1 game at Chattanooga. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the 15th round in 2012. von Schamann will be 23 on June 3rd.
