David Ortiz World Series MVP 2013
David Ortiz of the Boston Red Sox was the Most Valuable Player in the 2013 World Series. He was without a hit in the final game but still walked four times and scored two runs. For the World Series he hit .688/.760/1.188 with 2 HR, 6 RBI, 7 R, 0 SB in six games as the Red Sox clinched over the St Louis Cardinals 4 games to 2. For 2013 the DH hit .309/.395/.564 with 30 HR, 103 RBI, 84 R, 4 SB in 137 games. Over his 17 season MLB career with the Red Sox and Twins he has hit .292/.390/.572 with 373 HR, 1191 RBI, 993 R, 11 SB in 1514 games. He originally signed with the Mariners in 1992 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Ortiz will be 38 on November 18.
