Chicago Cubs 2013 Minor League Player of the Year
Javier Baez was the Chicago Cubs Minor League Player of the Year in 2013. The shortstop split 2013 between Class A Advanced Daytona and Double A Tennessee. He hit .274/.338/.535 with 17 HR, 57 RBI, 59 R, 12 SB in 76 games at Daytona and hit .294/.346/.638 with 20 HR, 54 RBI, 39 R, 8 SB in 54 games at Tennessee. He was originally drafted by the Cubs with the ninth pick of the first round in 2011. Baez will be 21 on December 1st.
