Koji Uehara ALCS MVP 2013
Koji Uehara of the Boston Red Sox was the MVP of the 2013 American League Championship Series. Against the Detroit Tigers he was 1-0, 0.00 ERA, 9 K, 0.67 WHIP, 3 SV in 6.0 IP over 5 games. During the regular season he was 4-1, 1.09 ERA, 101 K, 0.57 WHIP, 21 SV in 74.1 IP over 73 games with the Red Sox. Over a five season MLB career with the Red Sox, Rangers and Orioles the RHP is 9-10, 2.42 ERA, 332 K, 0.83 WHIP, 35 SV in 286.0 IP over 230 games. He originally signed with the Orioles in 2009 as a free agent after playing 10 seasons in Japan. Uehara turned 38 on April 3rd.
