Rossell Herrera was the South Atlantic League MVP in 2013. The shortstop played 2013 at Class A Asheville of the Colorado Rockies where he hit .343/.419/.515 with 16 HR, 76 RBI, 83 R, 21 SB in 126 games. He originally signed with the Rockies in 2009 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Herrera turned 21 on October 16.
