Xander Bogaerts was the USA Today Minor League Player of the Year in. 2013. The SS\3B split 2013 between Double A Portland, Triple A Pawtucket and the Boston Red Sox. He hit .311/.407/.502 with 6 HR, 35 RBI, 40 R, 5 SB in 56 games at Portland, hit .284/.369/.453 with 9 HR, 32 RBI, 32 R, 2 SB in 60 games at Pawtucket and hit .250/.320/.364 with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 7 R, 1 SB in 18 games with the Red Sox. He originally signed with the Red Sox in 2009 as an amateur free agent out of Aruba. Bogaerts turned 21 on October 1st.
