Severino Gonzalez was the Philadelphia Phillies Minor League Pitcher of the Year in 2013. The RHP split 2013 between Class A Lakewood, Class A Advanced Clearwater and Double A Reading. He was 3-0, 1.69 ERA, 31 K, 0.61 WHIP in 21.1 IP over 4 games at Lakewood, was 3-5, 2.02 ERA, 82 K, 1.12 WHIP in 75.2 IP over 20 games at Clearwater and was 1-0, 2.70 ERA, 6 K, 1.20 WHIP in 6.2 IP in 1 game at Reading. He originally signed with the Phillies in 2011 as an amateur free agent out of Panama. Gonzalez turned 21 on September 28.
