Ty Cobb MLB Hall of Fame 1936

Tyrus R (Ty) Cobb was inducted into the first MLB Hall of Fame class in 1936 along with Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner. Cobb was an outfielder with 24 seasons MLB experience playing with the Detroit Tigers (1905-1926) and the Philadelphia Athletics (1927-1928). For his MLB career he hit .366/.433/.512 with 117 HR, 1938 RBI, 2246 R, 897 SB in 3034 games.

I believe his three best seasons were 1911 when he hit .420/.467/.621 with 8 HR, 127 RBI, 147 R, 83 SB in 146 games, 1912 when he hit .409/.456/.584 with 7 HR, 83 RBI, 120 R, 61 SB in 140 games and 1915 when he hit .369/.486/.487 with 3 HR, 99 RBI, 144 R, 96 SB in 156 games. 

He was the American League MVP in 1911. He won 12 batting titles: 1907 (.350), 1908 (.324), 1909 (.377), 1910 (.383), 1911 (.420), 1912 (.409), 1913 (.390), 1914 (.368), 1915 (.369), 1917 (.383), 1918 (.382), 1919 (.384). He led the American League in doubles in 1908 (36), 1911 (47) and 1917 (44), in triples in 1908 (20), 1911 (24), 1917 (24) and 1918 (14), in home runs in 1909 (9), in RBI in 1907 (119), 1908 (108), 1909 (107) and 1911, in runs in 1909 (116), 1910 (106), 1911, 1915 and 1916 (113) and in steals in 1907 (53), 1909 (76), 1911, 1915, 1916 (68) and 1917 (55). While still playing he was also the manager of the Detroit Tigers from 1921-1926. He is second in career hits with 4,191.
