Raymond W Schalk was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1955 along with Home Run Baker, Joe DiMaggio, Gabby Harnett, Theodore Lyons and Dazzy Vance. Schalk was a catcher with 18 seasons MLB experience playing with the Chicago White Sox (1912-1928) and New York Giants (1929). For his MLB career he hit .253/.340/.316 with 11 HR, 594 RBI, 579 R, 177 SB in 1762 games.
I believe his best three seasons were 1920 when he hit .270/.362/.348 with 1 HR, 61 RBI, 64 R, 10 SB in 151 games, 1922 when he hit .281/.379/.371 with 4 HR, 60 RBI, 57 R, 12 SB in 142 games and 1915 when he hit .266/.366/.327 with 1 HR, 54 RBI, 46 R, 15 SB in 135 games. He threw out 49% of those that attempted to steal on him.
Schalk won the World Series Championship with the White Sox in 1917.
He was manager for the White Sox (1927-1928) with a 102-125 record.
