Morgan G Bulkeley was inducted into the second MLB Hall of Fame class in 1937 along with Ban Johnson, Nap Lajoie, Connie Mack, John McGraw, Tris Speaker, George Wright and Cy Young. Bulkeley was a business man and politician who first got into baseball as an executive of the Hartford Dark Blue of the National Association in 1874. The National League was created in 1876 and he agreed to serve as their first president.
