John J Evers was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1946 along with Jesse Burkett, Frank Chance, Jack Chesbro, Clark Griffith, Thomas McCarthy, Joseph McGinnity, Edward Plank, Joseph Tinker, Rube Waddell, and Edward Walsh. Evers was a second baseman with 18 seasons MLB experience playing with the Chicago Orphans (1902), Chicago Cubs (1903-1913), Boston Braves (1914-1917, 1929), Philadelphia Phillies (1917) and Chicago White Sox (1922). For his MLB career he hit .270/.356/.334 with 12 HR, 538 RBI, 919 R, 324 SB in 1784 games.
I believe his best three seasons were 1912 when he hit .341/.431/.441 with 1 HR, 63 RBI, 73 R, 16 SB in 143 games, 1908 when he hit .300/.402/.375 with 0 HR, 37 RBI, 83 R, 36 SB in 126 games and 1913 when he hit .285/.361/.372 with 3 HR, 49 RBI, 81 R, 11 SB in 136 games.
Evers was the National League MVP in 1914 when he hit .279/.390/.338 with 1 HR, 40 RBI, 81 R, 12 SB in 139 games.
He won the World Series Championship with the Cubs in 1907 and 1908 and with the Braves in 1914.
