Jesse Burkett MLB Hall of Fame 1946

Jesse C Burkett was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1946 along with Frank Chance, Jack Chesbro, John Evers, Clark Griffith, Thomas McCarthy, Joseph McGinnity, Edward Plank, Joseph Tinker, Rube Waddell, and Edward Walsh. Burkett was an outfielder with 16 seasons MLB experience playing with the New York Giants (1890), Cleveland Spiders (1891-1898), St Louis Perfectos (1899), St Louis Cardinals (1901-1902), St Louis Browns (1902-1904) and Boston Americans (1905). For his MLB career he hit .338/.415/.446 with 75 HR, 952 RBI, 1720 R, 389 SB in 2067 games. 

I believe his three best seasons were 1896 when he hit .410/.461/.541 with 6 HR, 72 RBI, 160 R, 34 SB in 133 games, 1895 when he hit .405/.482/.519 with 5 HR, 83 RBI, 153 R, 41 SB in 132 games and 1893 when he hit .348/.459/.491 with 6 HR, 82 RBI, 145 R, 39 SB in 125 games. 

Burkett was the National League batting champ in 1895 (.405), 1896 (.410) and 1901 (.376). He led the NL in runs in 1896 and 1901 (142).

He holds the MLB record for the most inside the park home runs with 55.
