Frank L Chance was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1946 along with Jesse Burkett, Jack Chesbro, John Evers, Clark Griffith, Thomas McCarthy, Joseph McGinnity, Edward Plank, Joseph Tinker, Rube Waddell, and Edward Walsh. Chance was a 1B\C\OF with 17 seasons MLB experience playing with the Chicago Orphans (1898-1902), Chicago Cubs (1903-1912) and New York Yankees (1913-1914). For his MLB career he hit .296/.394/.394 with 20 HR, 596 RBI, 798 R, 403 SB in 1288 games.
I believe his best three seasons were 1906 when he hit .319/.419/.430 with 3 HR, 71 RBI, 103 R, 57 SB in 136 games, 1905 when he hit .316/.450/.434 with 2 HR, 70 RBI, 92 R, 38 SB in 118 games and 1903 when he hit .327/.439/.440 with 2 HR, 81 RBI, 83 R, 67 SB in 125 games.
Chance led the National League in runs in 1906. He led the NL in steals in 1903 and 1906.
He won the World Series Championship with the Cubs in 1907 and 1908.
Chance also served as manager with the Chicago Cubs (1905-1912) with a 768-389 record, New York Yankees (1913-1914) with a 117-168 record and Boston Red Sox (1923) with a 61-91 record. His career total was 946-648.
