Elliot Johnson traded to Royals
Elliot Johnson was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Kansas City Royals on February 12, 2013 to complete an earlier deal. Johnson is a SS\2B\OF with three seasons MLB experience all with the Rays. 2012 was his breakout season as he hit .242/.304/.350 with 6 HR, 33 RBI, 32 R, 18 SB in 123 games. For his MLB career he has hit .223/.283/.338 with 10 HR, 50 RBI, 52 R, 24 SB in 200 games. He originally signed with the Rays as an amateur free agent in 2002. Johnson will be 29 on March 9th.
