William H Terry was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 1954 along with Bill Dickey and Rabbit Maranville. Terry was a first baseman with 14 seasons MLB experience playing all with the New York Giants (1923-1936). For his MLB career he hit .341/.393/.506 with 154 HR, 1078 RBI, 1120 R, 56 SB in 1721 games.
I believe his best three seasons were 1930 when he hit .401/.452/.619 with 23 HR, 129 RBI, 139 R, 8 SB in 154 games, 1932 when he hit .350/.382/.580 with 28 HR, 117 RBI, 124 R, 4 SB in 154 games and 1931 when he hit .349/.397/.529 with 9 HR, 112 RBI, 121 R, 8 SB in 153 games.
Terry was the National League batting champ in 1930. He led the NL in triples in 1931 (20). He led the NL in runs in 1931.
He was an All Star three times (1933-1935). Terry won the World Series Championship with the Giants in 1933.
He was the Giants manager (1932-1941) with a 823-661 record.
