Sam Freeman traded to Brewers

Sam Freeman was traded by the Texas Rangers to the Milwaukee Brewers on April 5, 2016 for cash. The LHP split 2015 between Triple A Round Rock and the Rangers. He was 0-0, 1.13 ERA, 8 K, 1.38 WHIP, .185 BAA in 8.0 IP over 8 games at Round Rock and 0-0, 3.05 ERA, 40 K, 1.46 WHIP, .218 BAA in 38.1 IP over 54 games with the Rangers. Over five MLB seasons with the Brewers, Rangers and Cardinals he is 3-2, 3.87 ERA, 109 K, 1.47 WHIP, .236 BAA in 116.1 IP over 142 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the 32nd round in 2008 and traded to the Rangers in 2015. Freeman will be 29 on June 24.
