Rymer Liriano traded to Brewers

Rymer Liriano was traded by the San Diego Padres to the Milwaukee Brewers on January 28, 2016. The Padres in exchange received Trevor Seidenberger.

Liriano is an outfielder who hit .292/.383/.460 with 14 HR, 64 RBI, 85 R, 18 SB in 131 games at Triple A El Paso in 2015. He did reach the Padres in 2014 when he hit .220/.289/.266 with 1 HR, 6 RBI, 13 R, 4 SB in 38 games. He originally signed with the Padres in 2007 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Liriano will be 25 on June 20.

LHP Seidenberger split 2015 between Class A Advanced Brevard County and Double A Biloxi. He was 4-2, 3.06 ERA, 37 K, 1.30 WHIP, .197 BAA, 5 SV in 35.1 IP over 22 games at Brevard County and 1-0, 6.75 ERA, 11 K, 1.20 WHIP, .220 BAA in 13.1 IP over 8 games at Biloxi. He was originally drafted by the Brewers in the 12th round in 2013. Seidenberger will be 24 on June 9th.
