Rob Segedin traded to Dodgers

Rob Segedin was traded by the New York Yankees to the Los Angeles Dodgers on January 12, 2016. The Yankees in exchange received Tyler Olson and Ronald Torreyes.

Segedin is a 3B\1B\OF who split 2015 between Double A Trenton and Triple A Scranton\Wilkes-Barre. He hit .303/.379/.449 with 3 HR, 19 RBI, 8 R, 1 SB in 25 games at Trenton and .278/.350/.414 with 4 HR, 15 RBI, 24 R, 2 SB in 46 games at SWB. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the third round in 2010. Segedin turned 27 on November 10.

LHP Olson split 2015 between Triple A Tacoma and the Mariners. He was traded to the Dodgers in December.

Torreyes is a 3B\SS\2B who split 2015 between Double A Tulsa, Triple A Oklahoma City and the Dodgers after being traded in June 2015. He hit .293/.348/.410 with 4 HR, 19 RBI, 39 R, 3 SB in 62 games at Tulsa, .306/.340/.388 with 0 HR, 3 RBI, 10 R, 0 SB in 13 games at Oklahoma City and .333/.429/.500 with 0 HR, 1 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 8 games with the Dodgers. He originally signed with the Reds in 2010 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Torreyes will be 24 on September 2nd.
