Drew Storen traded to Blue Jays

Drew Storen was traded by the Washington Nationals to the Toronto Blue Jays on January 8, 2016 along with cash. The Nationals in exchange received Ben Revere and a PTBNL.

RHP Storen was 2-2, 3.44 ERA, 67 K, 1.11 WHIP, .220 BAA, 29 SV in 55.0 IP over 58 games with the Nationals in 2015. Over seven MLB seasons with the Nationals and Blue Jays he is 21-15, 3.20 ERA, 340 K, 1.16 WHIP, .233 BAA, 98 SV in 351.1 IP over 376 games. He was originally drafted by the Nationals with the 10th pick of the first round in 2009. Storen will be 29 on August 11.

Revere is an outfielder who split 2015 between the Phillies and Blue Jays. He hit .298/.334/.374 with 1 HR, 26 RBI, 49 R, 24 SB in 96 games with the Phillies and .319/.354/.381 with 1 HR, 19 RBI, 35 R, 7 SB in 56 games with the Blue Jays. Over seven MLB seasons with the Nationals, Blue Jays, Phillies and Twins he has hit .290/.324/.345 with 5 HR, 161 RBI, 329 R, 178 SB in 670 games. He was originally drafted by the Twins with the 28th pick of the first round in 2007. Revere turned 28 on May 3rd.
