Carlos Corporan traded to Rays
Carlos Corporan was traded by the New York Yankees to the Tampa Bay Rays on April 2, 2016 for cash. The catcher signed with the Yankees in January after splitting 2015 between Double A Frisco, Triple A Round Rock and the Rangers. He hit .200/.200/.200 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 3 games at Frisco, .154/.214/.154 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 0 R, 0 SB in 5 games at Round Rock and .178/.244/.299 with 3 HR, 15 RBI, 10 R, 0 SB in 33 games with the Rangers. Over six MLB seasons with the Rangers, Astros and Brewers he hit .218/.280/.342 with 20 HR, 78 RBI, 63 R, 0 SB in 232 games. He was originally drafted by the Brewers in the 12th round in 2003. Corporan turned 32 on January 7th.
