2012 AL All Star Reserves

Here are the American League reserves for the 2012 All Star game:


Shortstop Elvis Andrus of the Texas Rangers is in his second All Star game. In 2012 he is hitting .298/.372/.401 with 1 HR, 34 RBI, 51 R and 16 SB in 80 games. For his career he is hitting .275/.345/.353 with 12 HR, 169 RBI, 307 R and 118 SB in 523 games. He originally signed with the Braves as an amateur free agent in 2005 out of Venezuela.


DH Billy Butler of the Kansas City Royals is in his first All Star game. In 2012 he is hitting .286/.360/.492 with 16 HR, 49 RBI, 31 R and 2 SB in 80 games. For his career he is hitting .296/.360/.492 with 90 HR, 422 RBI, 342 R and 5 SB in 772 games. He was originally drafted by the Royals with the 14th pick of the first round in 2004.


Shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera of the Cleveland Indians is in his second All Star game, In 2012 he is hitting .290/.369/.478 with 11 HR, 42 RBI, 41 R and 2 SB in 73 games. For his career he is hitting .282/.346/.422 with 54 HR, 300 RBI, 326 R and 46 SB in 611 games. He originally signed with the Mariners as an amateur free agent in 2002 out of Venezeula.


Third baseman Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers is in his seventh All Star game. In 2012 he is hitting .325/.386/.563 with 18 HR, 70 RBI, 51 R and 3 SB in 83 games. For his career he is hitting .317/.394/.556 with 295 HR, 1054 RBI, 903 R and 32 SB in 1434 games. He originally signed with the Marlins as an amateur free agent in 1999 out Venezuela.


DH Adam Dunn of the Chicago White Sox is in his second All Star game. In 2012 he is hitting .213/.362/.518 with 25 HR, 60 RBI, 47 R and 0 SB in 81 games. For his career he is hitting .242/.373/.503 with 390 HR, 982 RBI, 948 R and 59 SB in 1651 games. He was originally drafted by the Reds in the second round in 1998.
