Giovanni Soto of the Akron Aeros pitched a no hitter in a 2-1 victory over the Altoona Curve on July 15. His line for the game was 9.0 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 6 K in 104 pitches. In 2012 he is 6-6 with a 3.73 ERA, 87 K, 1.26 WHIP in 101.1 IP over 18 games. Akron is the Double A team of the Cleveland Indians. He was originally drafted by the Tigers in the 21st round in 2009. Soto turned 21 on May 18.
