Omar Quintanilla traded to Orioles
Omar Quintanilla was traded by the New York Mets to the Baltimore Orioles on July 20, 2012 in exchange for cash. He has split 2012 between Triple A Buffalo where he hit .282/.345/.494 with 6 HR, 27 RBI, 18 R and 1 SB in 48 games and the Mets where he hit .257/.350/.371 with 1 HR, 4 RBI, 13 R and 0 SB in 31 games. The SS\2B has 7 years MLB experience with the Mets, Rangers and Rockies. For his MLB career he has hit .218/.278/.294 with 3 HR, 38 RBI, 76 R and 3 SB in 258 games. He was originally drafted by the Athletics with the 33rd pick of the first round in 2003. Quintanilla will be 31 on October 24.
