Pirates call up Starling Marte

The Pittsburgh Pirates have called up Starling Marte and he is expected to start in left field tonight. He had been with Triple A Indianapolis where he hit .286/.347/.500 with 12 HR, 62 RBI, 64 R, 21 SB in 99 games. He originally signed with the Pirates as an amateur free agent in 2007 out of the Dominican Republic. Marte will be 24 on October 9th.
