Tyler Moore traded to Braves

Tyler Moore was traded by the Washington Nationals to the Atlanta Braves on March 27, 2016. The Nationals in exchange received Nate Freiman.

Moore is an OF/1B who split 2015 between Class A Advanced Potomac and Triple A Syracuse while rehabbing and the Nationals. He hit .000/.333/.000 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 2 games at Potomac, .278/.278/.556 with 1 HR, 3 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 4 games at Syracuse and .203/.250/.364 with 6 HR, 27 RBI, 14 R, 0 SB in 97 games with the Nationals. Over four MLB seasons with the Nationals he hit .228/.281/.401 with 24 HR, 91 RBI, 58 R, 3 SB in 277 games. He was originally drafted by the Nationals in the 16th round in 2008. Moore turned 29 on January 30.

Freiman is a first baseman who was signed by the Braves in December 2015 after playing at Triple A Nashville of the Athletics. He hit .220/.279/.321 with 4 HR, 31 RBI, 20 R, 1 SB in 79 games at Nashville in 2015. Over two MLB seasons with the Athletics he hit .256/.309/.408 with 9 HR, 39 RBI, 22 R, 0 SB in 116 games. He was originally drafted by the Padres in the eighth round in 2009. Freiman turned 29 on December 31.
