Edgar Olmos traded to Orioles
Edgar Olmos was traded by the Chicago Cubs to the Baltimore Orioles on March 24, 2016 for cash. The LHP split 2015 between Triple A Tacoma and the Mariners before being claimed off waivers. He was 1-1, 3.55 ERA, 34 K, 1.36 WHIP, .258 BAA, 1 SV in 33.0 IP over 20 games with 2 GS at Tacoma and 1-0, 4.50 ERA, 4 K, 1.71 WHIP, .281 BAA in 14.0 IP over 6 games with 2 GS with the Mariners. Over two MLB seasons with the Mariners and Marlins he was 1-1, 5.21 ERA, 6 K, 1.79 WHIP, .299 BAA in 19.0 IP over 11 games with 2 GS. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the third round in 2008. Olmos turned 26 on April 12.
