Tyler Clippard traded to Mets

Tyler Clippard was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the New York Mets on July 27, 2015 along with cash. The Athletics in exchange received Casey Meisner. 

RHP Clippard was 1-3, 2.79 ERA, 38 K, 1.19 WHIP, .175 BAA, 17 SV in 38.2 IP over 37 games with the Athletics in 2015. Over nine MLB seasons with the Athletics, Nationals and Yankees he is 38-28, 2.87 ERA, 586 K, 1.09 WHIP, .190 BAA, 51 SV in 529.2 IP over 457 games with 8 GS. He was originally drafted by the Yankees in the ninth round in 2003. Clippard turned 30 on February 14.

RHP Meisner had split 2015 between Class A Savannah and Class A Advanced St Lucie. He was 7-2, 2.13 ERA, 66 K, 1.03 WHIP, .213 BAA in 76.0 IP over 12 games at Savannah and 3-2, 2.83 ERA, 23 K, 1.40 WHIP, .259 BAA in 35.0 IP over 6 games at St Lucie. He was originally drafted by the Mets in the third round in 2013. Meisner turned 20 on May 22.
