Randy Johnson MLB Hall of Fame 2015

Randy Johnson was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2015 along with Craig Biggio, Pedro Martinez and John Smoltz. Johnson was a LHP with 22 seasons MLB experience playing with the Montreal Expos (1988-1989), Seattle Mariners (1989-1998), Houston Astros (1998), Arizona Diamondbacks (1999-2004, 2007-2008), New York Yankees (2005-2006) and San Francisco Giants (2009). For his MLB career he was 303-166, 3.29 ERA, 4875 K, 1.17 WHIP, 2 SV, 100 complete games, 37 shut outs in 4135.1 IP over 618 games. 

I believe his three best seasons were 2002 when he was 24-5, 2.32 ERA, 334 K, 1.03 WHIP, 8 complete games, 4 shut outs in 260.0 IP over 35 games, 2001 when he was 21-6, 2.49 ERA, 372 K, 1.01 WHIP, 3 complete games, 2 shut outs in 249.2 IP over 35 games and 1995 when he was 18-2, 2.48 ERA, 294 K, 1.05 WHIP, 6 complete games, 3 shut outs in 214.1 IP over 30 games. 

Johnson won the American League Cy Young Award in 1995 and won four consecutive Cy Young Awards in the National League in 1999 when he was 17-9, 2.48 ERA, 364 K, 1.02 WHIP, 12 complete games, 2 shut outs in 271.2 IP over 35 games, 2000 when he was 19-7, 2.64 ERA, 347 K, 1.12 WHIP, 8 complete games, 3 shut outs in 248.2 IP over 35 games, 2001 and 2002. He also finished second in the AL Cy Young voting in 1993 and 1997 and finished second in the NL Cy Young voting in 2004.

Johnson led the National League in wins in 2002. He led the AL in ERA in 1995 and led the NL in ERA in 1999, 2001 and 2002. He led the AL in strikeouts in 1992 (241), 1993 (308), 1994 (204) and 1995 and led the NL in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2004 (290). He led the AL in WHIP in 1995 and led the NL in 2001 and 2004 (0.90). He led the AL in complete games in 1994 (9) and led the NL in 1999, 2000 and 2002. He led the AL in shut outs in 1994 (4) and the NL in 2000. 

He was an All-Star 10 times (1990, 1993-1995, 1997, 1999-2002 and 2004). He pitched a no hitter against the Tigers on June 2, 1990 and pitched a perfect game against the Braves on May 18, 2004. His career strikeout total currently ranks second all time. Johnson won a World Series in 2001 with the Diamondbacks and was named World Series MVP.
