Chris Reed traded to Marlins

Chris Reed was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Miami Marlins on July 15, 2015. The Dodgers in exchange received Grant Dayton.

LHP Reed split 2015 between Double A Tulsa and Triple A Oklahoma City. He was 2-2, 7.23 ERA, 16 K, 1.69 WHIP, .250 BA, 1 SV in 23.2 IP over 16 games at Tulsa and 0-0, 3.27 ERA, 5 K, 1.36 WHIP, .289 BAA in 11.0 IP over 8 games at Oklahoma City. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers with the 16th pick of the first round in 2011. Reed turned 25 on May 20.

LHP Dayton was at Triple A New Orleans where he was 2-1, 2.83 ERA, 35 K, 0.86 WHIP, .207 BAA in 35.0 IP over 25 games. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the 11th round in 2010. Dayton turned 27 on November 25.
