Marc Krauss traded to Rays

Marc Krauss was traded by the Los Angeles Angels to the Tampa Bay Rays on June 25, 2015. The Angels in exchange received Kyle Winkler.

Krauss is a 1B\OF who had split 2015 between Triple A Salt Lake and the Angels. He hit .289/.415/.453 with 4 HR, 29 RBI, 23 R, 0 SB in 47 games at Salt Lake and .143/.211/.286 with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 11 games with the Angels. Over three MLB seasons with the Tigers, Rays, Angels and Astros he has hit .188/.255/.324 with 12 HR, 42 RBI, 30 R, 2 SB in 146 games. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the second round in 2009. Krauss will be 28 on October 5th.

RHP Winkler had split 2015 between Double A Montgomery and Triple A Durham. He was 1-0, 0.96 ERA, 13 K, 0.75 WHIP, .200 BAA in 9.1 IP over 7 games at Montgomery and 0-0, 3.00 ERA, 2 K, 1.00 WHIP, .200 BAA in 3.0 IP over 3 games at Durham. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 10th round in 2011. Winkler turned 25 on June 18.
