Clayton Richard traded to Cubs

Clayton Richard was traded by the Pittsburgh Pirates to the Chicago Cubs on July 3, 2015 for cash. The LHP had split 2015 between Class A Advanced Bradenton and Triple A Indianapolis. He was 0-1, 0.00 ERA, 5 K, 0.83 WHIP, .182 BAA in 6.0 IP in 1 game at Bradenton and 4-2, 2.09 ERA, 25 K, 1.18 WHIP, .244 BAA in 56.0 IP over 9 games at Indianapolis. He does have seven seasons MLB experience with the Cubs, Padres and White Sox going 47-47, 4.35 ERA, 486 K, 1.40 WHIP, .274 BAA in 788.1 IP over 150 games with 131 GS. He was originally drafted by the White Sox in the eighth round in 2005. Richard will be 32 on September 12.
