David DeJesus traded to Angels

David DeJesus was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Los Angeles Angels on July 28, 2015. The Rays in exchange received Eduar Lopez.

DeJesus is an outfielder who hit .259/.323/.375 with 5 HR, 26 RBI, 24 R, 3 SB in 82 games in 2015. Over 13 MLB seasons with the Rays, Nationals, Cubs, Athletics and Royals he has hit .276/.351/.415 with 99 HR, 569 RBI, 737 R, 66 SB in 1442 games. He was originally drafted by the Royals in the fourth round in 2000. DeJesus turned 35 on December 20.

RHP Lopez pitched at Rookie Orem where he was 2-2, 4.32 ERA, 33 K, 1.65 WHIP, .295 BAA in 33.1 IP over 8 games. He originally signed with the Angels in 2012 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Lopez turned 20 on February 21.
