John Smoltz was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2015 along with Craig Biggio, Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez. Smoltz was a RHP with 21 season MLB experience playing with the Atlanta Braves (1988-2008), Boston Red Sox (2009) and St Louis Cardinals (2009). For his MLB career he was 213-155, 3.33 ERA, 3084 K, 1.18 WHIP, 154 SV, 53 complete games, 16 shut outs in 3473.0 IP over 723 games with 481 starts. He had an interesting career arc as he was an elite starter who became an elite closer once returning from injury and then transitioned back to starter.
I believe his three best seasons were 1996 when he was 24-8, 2.94 ERA, 276 K, 1.00 WHIP, 6 complete games, 2 shut outs in 253.2 IP over 35 games, 1998 when he was 17-3, 2.90 ERA, 173 K, 1.13 WHIP, 2 complete games, 2 shut outs in 167.2 IP over 26 games and 2002 when he was 3-2, 3.25 ERA, 85 K, 1.03 WHIP, 55 SV in 80.1 IP over 75 games.

Smoltz led the National League in wins in 1996 and 2006 (16). He led the NL in strike outs in 1992 (215) and 1996. He led the NL in saves in 2002.
He was an All-Star eight times (1989, 1992-1993, 1996, 2002-2003, 2005, 2007). He won the Silver Slugger Award in 1997. He won the NL Rolaids Relief Man Award in 2002. He won the World Series in 1995 with the Braves.
