Pedro Martinez MLB Hall of Fame 2015

Pedro Martinez was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame class of 2015 along with Craig Biggio, Randy Johnson and John Smoltz. Martinez was a RHP with 18 seasons MLB experience playing with the Los Angeles Dodgers (1992-1993), Montreal Expos (1994-1997), Boston Red Sox (1998-2004), New York Mets (2005-2008) and Philadelphia Phillies (2009). For his MLB career he was 219-100, 2.93 ERA, 3154 K, 1.05 WHIP, 3 SV, 46 complete games, 17 shut outs in 2871.1 IP over 476 games with 409 starts. 

I believe his three best seasons were 1999 when he was 23-4, 2.07 ERA, 313 K, 0.92 WHIP, 5 complete games, 1 shut out in 213.1 IP over 31 games, 2000 when he was 18-6, 1.74 ERA, 284 K, 0.74 WHIP, 7 complete games, 4 shut outs in 217.0 IP over 29 games and 1997 when he was 17-8, 1.90 ERA, 305 K, 0.93 WHIP, 13 complete games, 4 shut outs in 241.1 IP over 31 games. 

Martinez won the National League Cy Young Award in 1997 and won the American League Cy Young Award in 1999 and 2000. He finished second in AL Cy Young voting in 1998 and 2002.

Martinez led the American League in wins in 1999. He led the NL in ERA in 1997 and led the AL in ERA in 1999, 2000, 2002 (2.76) and 2003 (2.22). He led the AL in strike outs in 1999, 2000 and 2002 (239). He led the NL in complete games in 1997. He led the AL in shut outs in 2000.

He was an All-Star eight times (1996-2000, 2002, 2005-2006). Martinez won the World Series in 1999 with the Red Sox.
