Dustin Ackley traded to Yankees

Dustin Ackley was traded by the Seattle Mariners to the New York Yankees on July 30, 2015. The Mariners in exchange received Jose Ramirez and Ramon Flores.

Ackley is a 2B\Of who hit .215/.270/.366 with 6 HR, 19 RBI, 22 R, 2 SB in 85 games with the Mariners in 2015. Over five MLB seasons with the Mariners he hit .243/.306/.366 with 42 HR, 201 RBI, 249 R, 31 SB in 584 games. He was originally drafted by the Mariners with the second pick of the first round in 2009. Ackley turned 27 on February 26.

RHP Ramirez had split 2015 between Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and the Yankees. He was 3-0, 2.90 ERA, 56 K, 1.27 WHIP, .217 BAA, 10 SV in 49.2 IP over 32 games at SWB and 0-0, 15.00 ERA, 2 K, 3.33 WHIP, .400 BAA in 3.0 Ip over 3 games with the Yankees. Over two MLB seasons with the Yankees he was 0-2, 7.62 ERA, 12 K, 2.15 WHIP, .309 BAA in 13.0 IP over 11 games. He originally signed with the Yankees in 2007 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Ramirez turned 25 on January 21.

Flores is an outfielder who had split 2015 between Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and the Yankees. He hit .286/.377/.417 with 7 HR, 34 RBI, 43 R, 3 SB in 73 games at SWB and .219/.219/.250 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 12 games with the Yankees. He originally signed with the Yankees in 2008 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela. Flores turned 23 on March 26.
