Bronson Arroyo traded to Braves

Bronson Arroyo was traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks to the Atlanta Braves on June 20, 2015 along with Touki Toussaint. The Diamondbacks in exchange received Phil Gosselin. 

RHP Arroyo has not pitched in 2015 as he recovers from Tommy John surgery in July 2014. Over 15 MLB seasons with the Diamondbacks, Reds, Red Sox and Pirates he is 145-131, 4.19 ERA, 1526 K, 1.29 WHIP, .264 BAA, 1 SV in 2364.2 IP over 405 games. He was originally drafted by the Pirates in the third round in 1995. Arroyo turned 38 on February 24.

RHP Toussaint pitched at Class A Kane County where he was 2-2, 3.69 ERA, 29 K, 1.18 WHIP, .218 BAA in 39.0 IP over 7 games. He was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks with the 16th pick of the first round in 2014. Toussaint turned 19 on June 20.

Gosselin is a 2B\3B who hit .325/.357/.425 with 0 HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, 2 SB in 20 games with the Braves. He went on the DL May 18 with a left thumb fracture. Over three MLB seasons with the Braves he hit .282/.321/.345 with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 21 R, 4 SB in 70 games. He was originally drafted by the Braves in the fifth round in 2010. Gosselin will be 27 on October 3rd.
