Jeremy Guthrie was traded by the Baltimore Orioles to the Colorado Rockies on February 6, 2012. In exchange the Orioles receive Jason Hammel and Matt Lindstrom.
RHP Guthrie pitched five seasons with the Orioles after three seasons with the Cleveland Indians. In 2011 he was 9-17 with a 4.33 ERA, 130 strikeouts and 1.34 WHIP in 208 innings over 34 games. For his career he is 47-65 with a 4.19 ERA, 626 strikeouts and 1.29 WHIP in 1020.1 innings over 177 games. He was originally drafted by the Indians with the 22nd pick of the first round in 2002.
RHP Hammel pitched three seasons with the Rockies after three seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays. He was 7-13 with a 4.76 ERA, 94 strikeouts, 1.43 WHIP and one save in 170.1 innings over 32 games. For his career he is 34-45 with a 4.99 ERA, 508 strikeouts, 1.47 WHIP and 3 saves in 732 innings over 169 games. He was originally drafted by the Rays in the 10th round in 2002.
RHP Lindstrom pitched one season with the Rockies after one season with the Houston Astros and three with the Florida Marlins. In 2011 he was 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA, 36 strikeouts, 1.22 WHIP and 2 saves in 54 innings over 63 games. For his career he is 12-15 with a 3.81 ERA, 223 strikeouts, 1.44 WHIP and 45 saves in 279 innings over 312 games. He was originally drafted by the New York Mets in the 10th round in 2002.
