2011 Where are they now 2008 MLB draft picks 41 to 46

It is the off season and I'm checking how picks 41 to 46 (which closed out the first round) of the 2008 draft did this season. Traditionally players drafted out of college advance faster than those drafted out of high school and pitchers usually advance faster than position players. Some players might also be traded to help their team get an established player that can help their team improve immediately.

The Chicago Cubs drafted shortstop Ryan Flaherty 41st out of Vanderbilt. He split 2011 between Double A and Triple A. He hit .305/.384/.523 with 14 home runs, 66 RBI, 52 runs and 4 steals in 83 games at Double A and hit .237/.277/.399 with five home runs, 22 RBI, 22 runs and one steal in 49 games at Triple A.

The San Diego Padres drafted outfielder Jaff Decker 42nd out of Sunrise Mountain High School in Arizona. He played 2011 at Double A and hit .236/.373/.417 with 19 home runs, 92 RBI, 90 runs and 15 steals in 133 games.

The Arizona Diamondbacks drafted LHP Wade Miley 43rd out of Southeastern Louisiana University. He split 2011 between Double A, Triple A and the Diamondbacks. He was 4-2 with a 4.78 ERA, 46 strikeouts and 1.35 WHIP in 75.1 innings over 14 games at Double A, was 4-1 with a 3.64 ERA, 56 strikeouts and 1.27 WHIP in 54.1 innings over eight games at Triple A and was 4-2 with a 4.50 ERA, 25 strikeouts and 1.65 WHIP in 40 innings over eight games with the Diamondbacks.

The New York Yankees drafted LHP Jeremy Bleich 44th out of Stanford. He missed the 2011 season with a shoulder injury.

The Boston Red Sox drafted RHP Bryan Price 45th out of Rice. He pitched 2011 at Double A and was 2-3 with a 2.79 ERA, 33 strikeouts and 1.26 WHIP in 51.2 innings over 28 games.

The San Diego Padres drafted third baseman John Logan Forsythe 46th out of Arkansas-Fayetteville. He split 2011 between Triple A and the Padres. He hit .326/.445/.528 with eight home runs, 34 RBI, 41 runs and 8 steals in 46 games at Triple A and hit .213/.281/.287 with zero home runs, 12 RBI, 12 runs and 3 steals in 62 games with the Padres.
