2011 Where are they now 2008 MLB draft picks 61 to 65

Earlier I looked at how the first round players from the 2008 draft did during the 2011 season. Yet teams aren't only stocked with former first round picks. Now I'm going to check how players from the second round in 2008 did looking at picks 61 to 65. Traditionally players drafted out of college advance faster than those drafted out of high school and pitchers usually advance faster than position players. Some players might also be traded to help their team get an established player that can help their team improve immediately.

The Los Angeles Dodgers drafted RHP Joshua Lindblom 61st out of Purdue. He split 2011 between Double A and the Dodgers. He was 1-3 with a 2.13 ERA, 54 strikeouts, 1.04 WHIP and 17 saves in 42.1 innings over 34 games at Double A and was 1-0 with a 2.73 ERA, 28 strikeouts and 1.04 WHIP in 29.2 innings over 27 games with the Dodgers.

The Milwaukee Brewers drafted RHP Thomas Adams 62nd out of Southern Illinois. He was released by the Brewers in 2010.

The Toronto Blue Jays drafted outfielder Kenneth Wilson 63rd out of Sickles High School in Florida. He played 2011 at Class A Advanced and hit .201/.296/.274 with zero home runs, 10 RBI, 21 runs and 17 steals in 48 games.

The Atlanta Braves drafted LHP Robert Stovall 64th out of Hokes Bluff High School in Alabama. He pitched 2011 at Class A and was 1-6 with a 5.91 ERA, 47 strikeouts, 2.02 WHIP and one save in 53.1 innings over 36 games.

The Chicago Cubs drafted RHP Aaron Shafer 65th out of Wichita State. He was released by the Cubs at the start of 2011, pitched in the Frontier League, and then signed with the Atlanta Braves where split time between Class A Advanced and Double A. He was 2-0 with a 0.61 ERA,  17 strikeouts and 0.95 WHIP in 14.2 innings over two games in the Frontier League, was 3-3 with a 3.05 ERA, 40 strikeouts and 1.31 WHIP in 65 innings over 11 games at Class A Advanced and was 3-2 with a 4.67 ERA, 37 strikeouts and 1.49 WHIP in 44.1 innings over seven games at Double A.
